Louis Nix III, a former Notre Dame defensive line set up by the Texans and playing four games for the New York Giants in 2015, went missing in Florida.
Fighting Irish coach Brian Kelly helped articulate the message on Twitter that Nix was last seen Tuesday when he left his father’s home in Jacksonville. Anyone with information on Nix’s whereabouts is asked to contact the sheriff in Jacksonville.
Only two and a half months ago, Nix was nearly killed when he was shot in the chest during a robbery at the gas station. Nix has been plagued by injuries and surgeries in his college and pro positions. He also signed with the Washington Football Team and Jacksonville Jaguars in 2016, but never fit for either game, ending his short career in 2017.
