Former NFL player Kellen Winslow II faces 14 years after new plea bargaining agreement

VISTA, Calif. – Former NFL teammate Kellen Winslow II on Friday agreed to accept a 14-year prison sentence for raping a homeless woman and assaulting two other women.

Winslow, 37, agreed to changes in a previous plea in order to avoid a possible 18-year sentence.

In 2019, Winslow was convicted of raping a 58-year-old homeless woman in Encinitas, California. He later pleaded guilty to the rape of an unconscious teenager in 2003 and the sexual battery of a 54-year-old lifter in Encinitas in 2018.

That plea agreement limited his sentence to 18 years. On Friday, a judge in the Supreme Court of San Diego County approved a change in which Winslow’s plea for sexual batteries was replaced with a guilty plea for assaulting the lifter with the intent to commit rape.
