Former Israeli prime minister urges Iran to ‘cool down’ amid nuclear threats

The former Israeli prime minister has said that Iran needs to cool down amid nuclear threats by Tehran.

Iran is frustrated by an alleged cyber attack it is being done by Israel which has sabotaged one of Iran’s key nuclear enrichment facilities.

“I’m not sure Israel did that, and I would advise the Iranians to cool off,” former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert said in an interview with WABC’s radio program “The Rita Cosby Show.”

Iran’s president Hassan Rouhani said Iran would enrich its uranium to 60 percent in response to the attack.

“It simply came to our notice then. “If the Zionists act against our country, we will respond,” the president apparently said.

“It does not really intimidate us. We are not so afraid of Iran … I do not think Israel has a reason to be afraid. But this violent rhetoric, these threats, is unnecessary and will not be useful to anyone, ”Olmert said in the interview.

The threats come because the US is going to start indirect talks with Iran on joining the nuclear deal.
