Former Georgia congressman Jack Kingston said he was concerned about the Democratic Republic’s early rise in the critical run-off of Georgia’s Senate that would determine the party’s control of the chamber.
“I’m worried,” he told America’s Newsroom. “If the election were to take place today without it happening tomorrow, we might not win.”
Polls show fleeting margins between Sens. Kelly Loeffler, R-Ga., And David Perdue, R-Ga., And their respective Democratic challengers Raphael Warnock and Jon Ossoff. More than three million votes have already been cast in the races, which are the most expensive Senate contests of all time. Data shows Democrats are more likely to vote early or by mail, while Republicans turn heavier on election day.
REP. COLLINS EXPECT GEORGIA GOP ELECTION DAY DELIVERY TO COUNTERDAMS EARLY VOTING BENEFIT
Republicans set Warnock and Ossoff as rubber stamps for a “socialist” agenda if elected. Should they win, the Democrats will control the White House and the entire Congress.
“These are two extremely radical candidates,” Kingston said. “Probably the most radical candidates yet nominated by the Democratic Party in the state of Georgia, and the stakes are far too high for us to stay home tomorrow.”
Kingston previously represented Georgia’s 1st Congressional District from 1993 to 2015 and unsuccessfully challenged Perdue for the 2014 Republican nomination in that year’s Senate contest. Perdue is seeking a second term, while Loeffler has been appointed to fill the seat of Senator Johnny Isakson, the Republican who served from 2005 to 2019 before retiring for health reasons. If elected, Loeffler would be eligible for re-election in 2022.
PERDUCE ON GEORGIA SENATE RUNOFFS: TRUMP RIGHT THAT ‘SOMETHING DISAPPOINTED’ HAPPENED IN THE ELECTION
Some Republicans in the state have expressed concern that President Trump’s accusations of voter fraud and election irregularities will dampen the rise of his base. However, Perdue told Fox News earlier Monday that such talks played into democratic hands.

“This is what the Democrats want,” Perdue told America’s Newsroom. ‘That’s what they’re talking about and that’s why it’s so confusing … It’s going to give them total control if they win these two seats. My logic is this. If you voted for Donald Trump in November, you need to stand up and fight. Fight with the rest of us to get him a fair accounting in the state and vote tomorrow. ‘
