Former Gonzaga star Adam Morrison goes wild after Jalen Suggs’ UCLA match winner

Gonzaga’s Jalen Suggs pushed the Bulldogs to a men’s batsman in the national basketball game on Saturday to send UCLA home.

Suggs ‘shot to end the match was placed in the same conversation as Lorenzo Charles’ match match as one of the best moments in the men’s basketball tournament.

For Gonzaga, the shot meant a little more, as the team was on the other side of the kind of close match.

Adam Morrison led Gonzaga to a local semi-final against UCLA in 2006. Morrison had 24 points when Gonzaga fell 73-71 to UCLA. The Bruins team at the time included future NBA players Arron Afflalo, Luc Richard Mbah a Moute, Darren Collison, Jordan Farmar and Ryan Hollins.

GONZAGA LOOKS FOR HISTORY, BAYLOR HOPES FOR FIRST TITLE AS NCAA MEN’S CHAMPIONSHIP

The image of Morrison sitting on the floor, emotional after the loss, is something that lives on in the history of the NCAA Tournament. On Saturday, he finally felt that joy.

Morrison was on call for the game’s Gonzaga broadcast. He uttered a riotous scream after Suggs knocked the game out of the glass in the basket for the 93-90 victory.

Gonzaga now plays for the national title and gets the chance to end the season unbeaten.

Suggs, Drew Timme and Corey Kispert have the opportunity to bring the title to Spokane, Washington.
