Forgotten PS4 game officially canceled

A forgotten PS4 game was canceled three years after the announcement, which disappointed some PlayStation fans in the process. For PlayStation, 2021 is all about the PS5, but at the moment there are far more active PS4 players than PS5 players, and consequently the PS4 will still get games this year, next year and beyond. In fact, many of Sony’s big upcoming exclusives – such as Horizon Forbidden West – will be releases over different generations.

The PS4 is still getting games and will still get very good games for at least a few more years. One game it will not get is Project a room, which was already announced in 2017 as a tribute to Romania # 203, a cult classic released in 2000 via the Sega Dreamcast.

After years of silence that made many people forget about the game, the producer, Masaru Oochi, officially confirmed the concern of many. In other words, the game is canned.

According to Oochi, the game quickly experienced problems with the development that completely stopped the project. A year later, Oochi left FuRyu in an effort to resume game development. After the project was submitted to numerous companies, the game’s development finally resumed, but as a new project. During the next 18 months, the development continued, but during this period, Oochi’s savings were depleted, and then the pandemic hit, which was more or less the nail in the coffin, although there were other contributors to the cancellation of the game, including Oochi’s dissolves the belief that the game would resonate with a modern audience.

Project a room was in development for the PS4, and as far as we know, only the PS4. That said, not only has it been canceled, but there seems to be no way to revive the project.

As always, we’ll be sure to update the story as more additional and striking details are provided. In the meantime, for more coverage on everything PlayStation has to offer – including all the latest related to the PS4 – click here or check out the relevant links below:
