Forget Meghan and Kate … Grandma Carole has had enough of her hands with Pippa Middleton’s new baby

Forget Meghan versus Kate … Grandma Carole has had enough of Pippa Middleton’s new baby

  • Grandma Carole is happy to help after the birth of Pippa’s daughter
  • She describes herself as a practical babysitter with her grandchildren in an interview
  • Carole (66) drove to the couple’s house in West London with £ 17 million in £ 17 million

Carole Middleton has no doubt already lent a shoulder to cry to her eldest daughter following Meghan’s wounded wide side in that interview.

But last week, it was the Duchess of Cambridge’s sister, Pippa Middleton, who needed her mother’s help.

Carole, 66, stylishly dressed in a black, glamorous grandmother, was more than happy to lend a hand after the birth of Pippa’s daughter Grace Elizabeth Jane last Monday.

Weighing in at 6kg, Grace is her second child with James Matthews, 45, the man from the hedge fund.

Carole, who was allegedly part of Pippa’s support bubble of Covid, traveled to the couple’s house in West London with £ 17 million in six bedrooms on Thursday afternoon.

After visiting the new arrival, she looked after two-year-old Arthur while Pippa, 37, and James went with Grace and their babysitter.

For Carole, it might have been a welcome relief to be at the center of such a happy event after the unpleasant outburst of Harry and Meghan’s tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey.

In an interview with Good Housekeeping UK magazine earlier this year, she described herself as ‘hands on’ with her grandchildren.

“I want to run down the hills, climb the trees and go through the tunnel to the playground,” she said. ‘As long as I can, that’s what I’m going to do. I cook with them, I dance around, we go cycling. ‘

She added: ‘I’m not sitting on the couch for long. I have a lot of energy. ‘

It is believed that Pippa and James, who were married in May 2017, paid tribute to their respective families by choosing Elizabeth and Jane as middle names for their daughter.

Elizabeth is Carole’s middle name and Kate’s, while James’s mother is Jane.
