When most video game developers work with car manufacturers to bring real world cars into their games, they tend to focus on vehicles that most of us can only own. Not so with Rocket League developer Psyonix. The studio is fresh from its recent collaboration with the NFL and is working with Ford to bring the F-150 into its game. The truck looks about as neat as you would expect. It is also a form that is most Rocket League players do not like it, but as the most popular truck in the world, you have to imagine that many people will think of it.
You have the chance to buy it between February 20th and February 28th for a limited time. With the Ford F-150 RLE bundle you get 1,500 credits. It contains the truck itself, two sets of wheels, boost, sound engine, sticker and player banner. All of this, according to Ford, was created with the input of the F-150 design team.
The bundle is just the beginning of Ford’s beginnings Rocket League and play more generally. The company is sponsoring Psyonix’s upcoming Winter Majors event, where you will see the F-150 tow away damaged vehicles and repair the stand. The two also offer a special two-day Freestyle invitation where players get the chance to win a real 2021 F-150.
