Police searched the nearby forests and dug out the adjacent lake, but the sky was never found or heard from again.

Ontario provincial police investigators at the time ruled his death a suicide – even though his body was never found.

However, his family never believed the suicide sentence.

His great-grandmother, Mike Mildon – who admittedly has no investigative experience, has now taken up the case.

Mildon, along with his best friend Jackson Rowe, are the filmmakers behind the new eight-part series, For Heaven’s Sake, which aims to discover exactly what happened to heaven eight decades ago.

When he was growing up, he heard theories about the disappearance of his great-grandfather from the different generations.

Among the theories conveyed is that the sky collided with road workers who built a highway near his cabin.

The trailer of the series shows how some believe that the body of Heaven could be buried under the highway or thrown into the lake near its cabin.

Mildon and Rowe’s claim to fame before the series was a Funny or Die series called Trophy Husbands, which was viewed approximately 5,000 times on YouTube at the time of filming.

Although based on a true crime, the series has a comic streak as the two amateur investigators try to unravel Mildon’s family mystery.

The couple, who are true crime lovers, managed to finally gain access to the 1934 police report related to the disappearance of heaven.

They also interviewed several family members of Heaven, including Mildon’s grandfather, and tried to locate people who had direct knowledge of the search party.
