Chilling CCTV footage shows flight attendant Christine Angelica Dacera kissing a man in the hallway of a luxury hotel in the Philippines – before she was found dead in the empty bathtub in her room.
The 23-year-old was captured at the City Garden Grand Hotel in Makati City when she attended New Year’s Eve, GMA News said.
She is shown barefoot and holds a glass of wine with at least three men as they move between the rooms – and also kisses a man in shorts and a baseball cap at the back.
Hours later, the Filipino flight attendant was found unconscious in her room – and was soon pronounced dead at a local hospital after being rushed there by friends and hotel staff.
Makati police claim there are signs she was raped, and on Monday filed a preliminary charge of rape with murder against all 11 men who conspired with her.
But on Wednesday, prosecutors released the only three arrested so far, insisting investigators did not prove she was “sexually assaulted or raped” – and if so, by which of the 11 accused.
There was also no evidence that caused her death, prosecutors said, with an initial autopsy saying she died of a ‘ruptured aortic aneurysm’.
Police and a lawyer for Dacera’s family suggested, however, that the aneurysm was the result of her assault.
One of the accused, Gregorio de Guzma – the son of the famous Filipino singer Claire dela Fuente – messed up that there was a gang rape and insisted that most men were gay.
‘How did it become rape? I’m gay. “I’ve never had sex with any woman in my life,” Guzman told ABS-CBN TV, adding that up to eight of the 11 “are probably gay like us.”
He insisted he only remembered that Dacera was ‘happy’ during the party, and then gave her CPR the next morning after she discovered her unconscious in the bath of her room in the City Garden Grand Hotel.
