HOUSTON The city of Houston remains under advice for boiling water and although water pressure has improved throughout the area, the advice is expected to remain in effect until Monday.
Dozens of municipalities in the area, including the Pearland and Katy, have also issued boiling water notices.
Residents are advised to use bottled or boiled water for drinking, cooking and hygiene, such as brushing teeth or washing your face until the notice is lifted.
Amid the advice for boiling water, several water distribution sites in the Houston area are opening.
Note: this list will be updated as new sites are announced and closed.

The Astros Foundation, Brothers Produce, the mayor’s office and the city of Houston have teamed up to create a second water distribution event that will take place at Butler Stadium on Sunday.
The event will be open to all individuals in the Houston area who need assistance. Each car during the event will receive five liters of water.
The event starts at 14:00 and will last until the stock runs out. Butler Stadium is located at 13755 S. Main Street in Houston.
Seven Harris County Precinct 2 Parks offers free water distribution. People must bring their own containers to fill with water provided on a first-come-first-served basis, and there is a limit of five liters per person.
Note: as this water comes from the taps in the parks, it is subject to the cooking notice of the area to be safe for consumption.
The seven parks with water available are Clear Lake Park (5001 NASA Pkwy, Seabrook, TX 77586), Sylvan Beach Park (636 N. Bayshore Dr., La Porte, TX 77571), Bill Crowley Park (5100 Lauder Rd., Houston, TX 77039), Jim and Joann Fonteno Park (14350 ½ Wallisville Rd., Houston, TX 77049), Crosby Community Center (409 Hare Rd., Crosby, TX 77532), Riley Community Center (808 1/2 Magnolia, Barrett, TX , 77532) and Leonel Castillo Community Center (2101 South St., Houston, TX 77009).

Harris County Precinct 2 is offering some runaway pop-up gifts on Saturday and Sunday.
Saturday’s event begins at 10 a.m. and will be held at the Grayson Community Center at 13828 Corpus Christi Street.
Sunday’s food distribution will be held at 10:00 in the Leonel Castillo Community Center in 2101 South Street.
People are asked to stay in their vehicles during the distribution, and Precinct 2 staff / volunteers will place food in the suitcases of the recipients.
The Minister’s Coalition of Harris County and Environment is partnering with the Houston Food Bank, Houston Community College, Harris County Precinct 3 Constable Sherman Eagleton and Harris County Precinct 1 Commissioner Rodney Ellis for a food distribution event on Saturday, February 20th. distributed on the HCC North Forest Campus at 6010 Little York Road in Houston from 10 p.m. The event is scheduled to last until 3 p.m.

Search for Nom Mi Street Food Truck and other food trucks at 3900 Alameda that give away food to the homeless. They served Friday and plan to return on Saturday, February 20 from 11 a.m. to give away more free food.
