Florida women pretend to be senior for COVID-19 vaccine dose

Two women in Florida pretended to be senior citizens in an attempt to get the coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccinated, according to the footage that appeared on camera.

According to the Florida Department of Health, Dr. Raul Pino, the prospective fraudsters showed up at the Orange County Convention Center vaccination site Wednesday “dressed as grandmothers” to obtain their second dose of the very popular pharmaceutical.

“We did not have the willing arms to be vaccinated,” Pino told local CBS subsidiary WKMG. ‘We also have people who are declining to grow old to be vaccinated. So we realized yesterday that some young ladies were dressed as grandmothers for the second time to be vaccinated, so I do not know how they escaped the first time, but they were vaccinated. The hood, the gloves, the glasses – the whole thing and it was probably in their twenties. ‘

According to police, the couple was a little older than that. It is said that one woman is 34 while another is 44.

“There were some issues with their IDs and their driver’s license, but I do not know all the details about it,” Pino added.

Apparently the women used their real names but used fake birth dates. Eventually, law enforcers showed up.

“Do you know what you did? “You stole a vaccine from someone who needed it more than you need, and now you’re not going to get your second one,” a deputy told the women. ‘So it’s a whole waste of time we just wasted on this. So we are only here, but only for your selfishness to steal a vaccine. ‘

Their names have not been released to the media and are unlikely to become part of the public record because the duo are not facing charges. No arrests were made and they were warned that their conduct could be charged with an offense.

“Okay, this is a violation warning,” said a deputy sheriff on footage. ‘You are hereby warned that you are not licensed or encouraged to be on this premises, and you may be arrested if you refuse at any time in this building or the other buildings, the parking garage everything, anything on the whole property here. It’s ridiculous that you’re even here now. ”

One of the women thanked the officers for their indulgence and the failed vaccine takers went on their way.

“It’s a little hilarious, but it’s also disappointing because they take the place that someone else, in a much greater need, could have that place,” Pino said before the recording was released.

He also noted that he was not aware of how they could get their first dose – or whether they even did so.

‘Part of the findings we have to make is that it was really vaccinated by us (when it was vaccinated), what happened, what date, what time to try to find out if there are any holes, loopholes, in the process which allows people to do it, ”the health department official added.
