FKA twigs tell of alleged abuse by Shia LaBeouf

FKA twigs speak.

The 33-year-old singer-songwriter, born Tahliah Barnett, filed a lawsuit in December accusing Shia LaBeouf, 34, of abusing her during their previous relationship.

In the suit – which also included similar accusations from another ex of the actor – Barnett accuses the star of abusing her ‘mercilessly’ physically, mentally and emotionally.

Not long after the case was filed, LaBeouf issued a response in which he denied “any allegations” that Barnett made, claiming that she “suffered no injury or damage as a result of [his] actions. “

Barnett has now sat down with CBS’s Gayle King to reveal the alleged ordeal and discuss how matters between the two have increased.

The relationship had red flags from the beginning, the singer claims.

“In the beginning, he jumped over the fence where I stayed and left flowers behind my door and poems and books,” she recalls of King during a “CBS This Morning” interview. “I thought it was very romantic, but it changed quickly. I now understand that it tests your limits.”

Barnett said she now realized it was ‘inappropriate’ to jump over a fence. “It breaks a boundary, but it does not stop there,” she explained.

“His behavior gradually became more and more insulting,” Barnett claims.

A rep for LaBeouf did not immediately respond to Fox News’ request for comment.

Barnett used the term “love bomb attack” in her accusations against the “Holes” star, which she explained as “putting me on a pedestal, and telling me I was amazing, extraordinary love shows, just to hit me. from the pedestal, to tell me that I am worthless, to criticize me, to touch me, to choose me apart, ”she claims.

The star also claimed that she had to offer a certain amount of physical affection per day for LaBeouf, including touching and kissing. She claimed that she had to show 20 physical affections every day.

According to Barnett, LaBeouf would allegedly “burn” her, which she described as “someone diminishing your experience and changing your story and not listening to you and denying your experience.”

“Eventually it became physical,” she claims before claiming, “there were certain cases where he would push me and then he would say, ‘You fell,’ and I would get really confused and I would think, ‘Maybe. i did it. ”

She also tells of a trip the couple undertook to a spa. According to her, LaBeouf ‘quickly sped off onto the highway and said that if I left him or if I said I did not love him and I was going to leave him, he would smash the car on the side of a wall. ‘

Barnett said she thought at the time that LaBeouf was in dire need of control, that he allegedly would ‘kill us both’ rather than lose control.

After that, LaBeouf allegedly pulled into a gas station where he picked her up, threw her against the car and started “strangling” her.

“It was then that I realized, ‘I need help getting out of this relationship,'” the ‘Two Weeks’ singer told King.

Barnett said she originally ‘did not’ want to file a lawsuit against the ‘Honey Boy’ star, but that she ‘wanted private help so he could not hurt anyone else like he hurt me’.

She said she asked LaBeouf to donate money to charity as well, but he allegedly did not do so, so she filed the case.

Referring to LaBeouf’s statement in which he said he was ‘sorry’ for his ‘insulting’ behavior towards those in his life, Barnett said she was reminded of the alleged ‘gas exposure’ of which she accused him.

“I could not bear it anymore. I felt like I was cracking,” she told King to come forward with her accusations. “While I now feel that I have returned his dysfunction to him and it is his.”

Barnett feels ‘brave’ these days.
