FKA Twigs were spotted in New York City on Wednesday after accusing former boyfriend Shia LaBeouf of ‘gaslighting’ during a new TV interview with Gayle King.
The British singer (33) was photographed looking incognito in a long tweed trench, joggers, black combat boots, a gray scarf and a face mask.
She also wears a headscarf and a baseball cap over her flowing blonde locks and a belt bag around her waist.
It looks like the star is glued to her phone, and just looks up briefly to cross the busy street.
Earlier, the artist, born Tahliah Barnett, claimed on CBS This Morning that LaBeouf’s apology to the New York Times for his alleged abusive behavior ‘reminds me of the gaslight I experienced when I was with him. It takes some of the blame, but not all, and then denies it. ‘
Reps for LaBeouf have not yet commented on her interview, which aired Thursday, with King.
Twigs sued the actor in December 2020 for sexual battery, assault and inflicting emotional distress.
At the time, the star “The Peanut Butter Falcon,” who has since denied “every allegation” in the lawsuit, issued a statement to the New York Times saying, “I have no excuses for my alcoholism or aggression, just rationalizations. I have been busy with myself and everyone around me for years. I have a history of hurting the people closest to me. I am ashamed of that history and am sorry for those I have hurt. There’s nothing else I can really say. ”
LaBeouf, 34, reported to a “long-term inpatient treatment facility” in December, with his lawyer saying at the time that the actor “needed help and he knows it.”
This week, Twigs outlined the ‘systematic’ abuse she allegedly faced from LaBeouf to Elle magazine, saying: ‘It is pure luck that I am no longer in the situation.’
She is now dating 1975 lead singer Matty Healy.
