Five star running back Emmanuel Henderson is Alabama-bound. The Hartford (Ala.) Geneva County product was linked to the Crimson Tide on Saturday across Auburn, Clemson, Georgia, LSU and others. Henderson is Nick Saban and the company’s second five-star commitment in the past two weeks.
“It feels like a home there,” Henderson said of Alabama in the past. “The facilities, the school, it’s great there.”
Henderson often pointed to the “program as a whole” when reflecting on what stands out about UA.
Bama built strong tracks with Henderson and his family, led by his recruiter in Charles Kelly. Rear Coach Charles Huff was also very involved before leaving for Marshall as head coach. It was a seamless transition to a new coach for runners Robert Gillespie in the coming weeks.
With a value of £ 1.85, £ 185, Henderson is named the no. 2 return and the overall outlook no. 28 in the country, according to the 247Sport Composite Rankings in Industry.
With Alabama, however, it’s more of an athletic role that the program Henderson has been striving for.
“I can always move around because I’m an athlete,” Henderson said. “I can play special teams, I can play lock receiver, wherever they need me.”
Henderson is commitment no. 5 for Alabama in the 2022 class and move UA’s class to No. 14 in the 247Sports Composite Team Recruiting Rankings.

As a junior, Henderson raced for 1,449 yards and 20 touchdowns.
