His endless sunny disposition has always been a welcome respite from the gloom of the battle in Fire Emblem: Three Houses, and his latest victory in the poll voted by the player in the 2021 Fire Emblem Heroes poll in ‘Choose Your Legends’ , is proof that he finally deserves the praise. Yay, gatekeeper!
The Gatekeeper already has numerous fans, including those who turned him into a playable character in Three Houses (and discovered that his Charm stat was the highest in the game). How could you not love him with such statistics?
Of course, this means that this is the fifth consecutive year that Chrom – the protagonist of Fire Emblem: Awakening – has lost. He lost in the past to Ike, Hector, Alm and Dimitri, and now he is lost to a man who can not even enter the fight. Sorry, Chrome, but you’re just not that cheerful.
The poll winners, Gatekeeper, Marth, Marianne and Eirika, will be added to the Fire Emblem Heroes with a ‘Choose Your Legends’ special outfit. Will we finally be able to see the Gate Guard’s eyes? I think we’ll find out.
