Finishing off: Transform your iOS home screen with these icon packs inspired by the 1984 Macintosh

Custom icon packs for iOS and iPadOS have become very popular with the changes made to Shortcuts in iOS 14. Today we have a summary of some beautiful iOS icon packs inspired by the 1984 Macintosh and the original version of macOS.

All of these packs have a minimalist black and white color scheme. Modern icons and logos are again depicted in visual art. Some packages even contain widgets. If you feel nostalgic, give it a try.

There are 45 beautiful pixel art icons in it System 1 designed to fit right in with Susan Kare’s original artwork. This icon pack also contains four widgets that work with Scriptable. You can find one for battery life, time, calendar and even one for cryptocurrency.

Most of this icon pack consists of first-party Apple apps, but the designer has created icons for some of the most popular third-party apps.

System 1 costs only $ 6, and the designer promises more updates to the iconic package along the way.

Designer Ben Vessey has created an extensive icon pack called iOS (Old School) with over 100 different retro themed icons. The best part of this package is the inclusion of light and dark themes. There are even a few different background options.

This package contains icons for virtually every major third-party app. It should not be too difficult to round off your retro home screen with this. These icons are a great value at only £ 3.99.

The iOS 128K Icon Pack also features two different themes, one for dark and one for light mode. There are 120 icons in this package and options with and without a border. The package contains all the images, as well as configuration profiles to install the alternate icons, so you do not have to see the shortcut notification every time you launch the app.

As always, be careful about installing profiles on your device. You can look directly into the Settings app that is inside a profile, although the website makes it clear that the web clips that are created are the only thing in these profiles. Since the purchases also contain the images, you can also use them directly with shortcuts without installing the profiles. For just £ 2, this is a must-buy for retro Mac lovers.
