Final score: The Suns survived the Nuggets 106-103

The Phoenix Suns currently have the best record in the league – the first team to win five of those two games, against just one loss in front of last weekend’s rugby player.

The Suns led 87-61 late in the third quarter when they tied the fifth offense with Nikola Jokic. But of course it was not.

With the tired legs in the 4th, the shots for the Suns fell short. Trying to survive the Nuggets, every possession became important. Jamal Murray started taking over the game when the Nuggets took the late lead by 2:30 to stand 98-97.

But the Suns held strong to close a grim Nuggets team. Chris Paul was great again and scored six points in the final minutes to keep the Suns on the lead.

Ayton impressed and was the player of the match tonight finishing with 22 points, 11 rebounds and 2 blocks.

“He was a bit of an anchor on both sides of the floor,” Monty Williams said after the game.

Of winning the game after losing the lead in fourth place, Williams said ‘it’s a growth moment for us.’

Game Flow

Dario Saric returned from injury for two games against the New Orleans Pelicans and the Utah Jazz to assist the Phoenix Suns in both victories. If you do not miss tonight’s game against the Nuggets to inflict his foursome injury, the minutes can be waited for.

After the tip-off, it was a quick pace to start. The Denver Nuggets led 19-14 before the Suns burned their first retirement. Murray had 12 of their points 5-6 off the field.

The Suns were able to end the game with the help of Mikal Bridges, Langston Galloway and Cam Johnson who knocked down 3s when they had to go play 6-6 from down in the city. At the end of the first time, the Suns had the Nuggets where they wanted them to lead 34-32 in the second quarter.

The defense picked up, as usual, in the 2nd quarter. The Suns were able to hold the Nuggets to just 5 points in the first 5 minutes. Team bounce is also an ongoing success.

Deandre Ayton shot 6-9 off the field with a powerful first half with 13 points and seven rebounds. At the forefront of the Nuggets at halftime: 60-49, the Suns defend 15 assistants and shoot 44% from outside the arc.

In the second half we start with a Nuggets run to reduce the lead to six points, but Ayton continues to destroy the Nuggets in the paint. In the past year, this game would have been a draw, but this year, the Suns’ lead is ten again within minutes.

The Suns pulled away from the Nuggets late in the 3rd with an overall effort, and the Suns had a substantial 87-78 lead in the fourth quarter. Careless turnover and poor play led to a slight return of the Nuggets.

The lineups to start the game:

The Jumpman makes his first appearance on the Suns orange jerseys:

Deandre Ayton with a strong start to the first half with many touchdowns. To take advantage of the fact that it gets an early 6-point and is 0-1 out of 3, after we started it comfortably without hesitation. If he admits that it’s a team match and that he does not care who wins it, as long as they win, it will still be nice to throw Ayton 25 points in this match.

Mikal Bridges is already not mentioning their names.

Galloway, after having a playoff night against Utah, picked the first three to lead the Suns 28-27. Two possessions later Galloway was able to make a foul on a missed 3 and become his specialty.

The Suns look good 34-32 in the first quarter. Look out for the defense to pick up in second place.

Frank Kaminski wants to fill the Saric minutes tonight, but not too much, but just doing enough. Sons 45-37, the Nuggets call a timeout after Galloway got the second chance to drop from 3. To the offensive board of Franks. 9 points from Galloway.

Ayton was able to put together an en-1 that gives the Suns a 13-point lead. 11 points from Ayton when he squared Jokic and drained the shot in his face.

Suns lead 60-49 at halftime, well … almost the entire team. A group attempts to move the ball, launch the 3 and bounce the ball back as a team.

Jamal Murray, now with 20 points, brings the Nuggets inside 6 with some big shots. The run has started, can the Suns bring back their lead on double digits?

A few plays later, Ayton helped the Suns push the lead back to 10.

With six minutes left in the 3rd quarter, the Suns are 74-66 ahead. The goal is to prevent Murray from getting hot to help the Nuggets tie the game.

Booker scored his 15th point by finding his shot and getting in his place as he began to take over on offense.

The Nuggets already want to give up, as the Suns take an 87-71 lead to a Booker 3.

The third quarter was difficult to close after reckless turnover and offenses after Jokic was asked for his 5th offense. The lead is only 9 for the Suns 87-78 who finish 4th.

If you look tired in the 4th, the Suns shots get too short. The second wind must come to beat a struggling Nuggets team. Jokic is back in and resting and wants to take over.

Murray begins to take over as he helps the Nuggets take the late lead 98-97. It’s a struggle to get a good chance for the Suns, who will make the big shots?

Booker with big shots and a big turnover cancels each other out because the Suns are trying to maintain a 2-point lead with 31 seconds left.

The big chance tonight goes to Chris Paul who gives the Suns a 104-100 lead with 7 seconds left.
