Final Fantasy VII Remake Yuffie DLC Detailed, will be two chapters long

Final Fantasy VII Remake Yuffie DLC

Square Enix has revealed some finer details about Episode Yuffie – the Final Fantasy VII Remake DLC which will be exclusive to PlayStation 5 once Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade is released this summer. As shown in the revealing trailer, you play as the young ninja throughout the escapade, and you are joined by a new character named Sonon.

Sonon is actually not quite playable in a fight, but Yuffie will be able to pull out the team’s attacks with his help. What’s more, Yuffie’s giant shuriken weapon allows her to fight at any distance, which should allow for some strategy.

As for the story of Episode Yuffie, we only know that it will be spread over two ‘chapters’. Of course, we do not know how long these chapters will last, but if it’s something like the main game, we’ll probably only bet on this DLC for a few hours at most. Hopefully it’s entertaining as it continues.

We also do not know how expensive Episode Yuffie will be – only that it will have to be purchased separately from Remake Intergrade. We will no doubt get a lot more information in the coming months.

Oh, and that winding guy with the crazy hair from the trailer? More dedicated fans may have already recognized him: his name is Weiss and he is from the sad PS2 title Dirge of Cerberus. Fortunately, it does not sound like Weiss will be part of the story of the DLC. Instead, he will be a powerful boss that can fight you in the VR arena of the game. Phew.
