Final Fantasy VII Remake Producer releases special message to fans at the end of the year

Final Fantasy VII remake producer said that ‘the new world of FFVII has just started’ in its special message at the end of the year.

Famitsu recently published a collection of special end-of-year creative aspirations for 2021 from 110 developers, including one of Final Fantasy VII Remake Producer Yoshinori Kitase Audrey):

In his special message to fans, he mentions that “the new world of FFVII has just started ”and the developers are progressing smoothly with the development. He also urges fans to “please wait a little longer for more details.” Hopefully this means that there are brand new announcements available next year.

The same Yoshinori Kitase appears with Cloud’s Buster Sword Final Fantasy VII Remake won its Grand Award at the PlayStation Partner Awards 2020 Japan Asia. Square Enix also announced Remake has sent more than five million copies worldwide, digitally and physically. The game is also now the highest selling digital game Square Enix ever developed on a PlayStation platform. In other news, Aerith and Sephiroth’s mocap actors recently completed a four-hour session.

As revealed by the official Square Enix music account Final Fantasy VII Remake OST Plus was launched on December 23 in Japan. You can pre-order the OST here. And for more goodies, a new guide has been launched in Japan, titled the Final Fantasy VII Remake Material Ultimania. The book was released on October 29 and contains artwork, CG artwork, planning documents, storyboards, notes for the music, interviews with the voice actors, and more.

The director of Remake Tetsuya Nomura introduced the original Final Fantasy VII ‘‘s most shocking moment. As previously revealed, Final Fantasy VII Remake contains many new elements and the screenwriter Kazushige Nojima even explains how he rewrote Cloud for the remake. We also have comments from Nojima on how to translate Final Fantasy VII influence Final Fantasy VIII. In an interview posted by Square Enix, co-director Naoki Hamaguchi and Kitase talk about their reasoning for making some bold changes to remake such a beloved game – namely why Sephiroth so early in the game was introduced. We also translated the short film made to promote the remake. Square Enix, meanwhile, is working on the second and possibly last episode.
