Fernando Tatis Jr. leaves the San Diego Padres game due to subluxation on the left

SAN DIEGO – Padres star Fernando Tatis Jr. injured himself on Monday night and quickly left the game against the San Francisco Giants.

Tatis slammed into Anthony DeSclafani and got in pain when he fell to the ground. He rocked his left arm as he stood up, helping two athletic coaches hold his left arm against his body as he left the field.

The Padres later said Tatis was gone due to a subluxation to the left shoulder, which is a partial dislocation of a joint. He will be reevaluated on Tuesday.

The 22-year-old Tatis practiced a game in late spring with left shoulder discomfort, but was back two days later. Manager Jayce Tingler then said that since his minor league days, Tatis has been dealing with discomfort in the left shoulder. Tatis later said he has had it since the rookie ball.

Tatis made five mistakes through the first four games.

He signed the longest contract in the history of the big league on February 22, a deal of $ 340 million for 14 years.
