The following story contains spoilers for Fear the Walking Dead Season 6 Episode 9, “Things Left to Do.” Widow June Dorie (Jenna Elfman) gets justice for John (Garret Dillahunt) when she shoots and kills a prisoner, Ginny (Colby Minifie), and her husband avenges just one episode after being run over by Ginny’s daughter Dakota (Zoe Colletti) was shot dead. The apostate June, who now becomes John’s black rifle hat and the pearl-handled pistol monogram with ‘JD’, becomes the judge, jury and executioner despite Morgan (Lennie James)’s attempt at peaceful settlement with justice-seeking armies led by Victor Strand (Colman Domingo). and Sherry (Christine Evangelista).
“Much of the June story that moves through the back half of season 6 will undergo quite a few transformations … I’m so excited about the back half,” Elfman said during WonderCon @ Home 2021. ‘strong for each character. Each character is going to be hit by the life impact it really changes, which we will start in season 7, in a way that catapults the story. Because each character is going to be profoundly changed by important experiences going through in each of these episodes of the back half. ‘
The remaining episodes of the season, which include the June-focused episode titled “JD,” are “very dynamic,” Elfman teased.
‘It’s more change than any of these characters have gone through Fear nevertheless, which I think is just exciting how it drives the story forward, “Elfman said. And as an actor I just think it’s really fun … I like to play June and I like all these changes I can make as an actor, it’s just really fun to take them through these journeys. ‘
