FDOH & Lee County launches reservation system at new COVID-19 vaccination site

LEE COUNTY, Fla. The Florida Department of Health in Lee County is hosting a COVID-19 vaccination site this week along with a reservation system starting Monday.

Any health care workers up front and those 65 years and older can make an appointment for appointments during the set dates and hours for the site. This vaccination site COVID-19 is only open to people who make appointments.

Officials made the announcement Sunday at a news conference at the Lee County Emergency Operations Center. This comes after the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine doses were administered in the country.

For the coming week, anyone considered a health worker up front or 65 or older can make a reservation using the toll-free number 1-833-618-2001 from Monday afternoon. Officials said you should wait until the link opens Monday to call.

The call center will be open Monday until 8 p.m. And the rest of the week from 8 to 20 p.m. Be open until 5,000 appointments are filled.

Booking dates and hours for this week include:

  1. Tuesday 5 January – 10:00 to 16:00
  2. Wednesday 6 January – 08:00 to 18:00
  3. Thursday 7 January – 08:00 to 18:00

The site is located in the North parking lot, across from the old terminal at RSW, Chamberlin Parkway 16000. The site is east of I-75, off Daniels Parkway, and messages send traffic to Paul J. Doherty Parkway.

More locations and dates will be announced later. Everyone who receives the vaccine is asked not to arrive earlier than 45 minutes before your appointment. According to the province, no one will have to come earlier or wait overnight.

The sheriff of Lee County said they will be on site for safety and to help with traffic control.

According to Lee County officials, 640 residents of Lee County have been vaccinated so far.
