With Luis Suarez in brilliant form for Atletico Madrid, the man who discovered the Uruguayan as a young man, Martin Lasarte, suggested that the player was ready to leave Barcelona.
Suarez spent six years at Camp Nou and won four LaLiga Santander titles, four Copa del Rey trophies and the Champions League in a brilliant career, before joining Atletico in the summer.
‘I’m sure some at Barcelona are sorry [letting him go], ” Lasarte told Radio MARCA. ‘In such situations, where there is a management issue, things are complicated.
‘Suarez looked like he was starting in the twilight of his career. Now he has a new shine and a new place.
‘Maybe he did well to ease the comfort zone of Barcelona. “
So far this season, Suarez scored 12 LaLiga Santander goals, such as Atletico puts seven points from Real Madrid at the top of the table, with one game in hand.
