Famicom Detective Club Receives Collector’s Edition in Japan

Nintendo’s remakes of Famicom Detective Club has been known for some time. The Nintendo Direct previously announced on Wednesday has been confirmed The missing heir and The girl standing behind begins on May 14’s release date, bringing Western localizations for the first time.

In preparation for this, Nintendo has just released a new collector’s edition for Japan. Both games on a single pattern contain a 174-page art book that showcases the character and concept art of the remake. It also contains design documents from the original versions dating from 1988 and 1989.

Reprints of the original game’s promotional presenters are present, along with a 75-song soundtrack, featuring tracks from the Famicom / NES version. There’s no word yet on a Western release for this collector’s issue, but we’ll keep you posted as it changes.
