Cuban boxer José Luis Hernández was arrested this March in the municipality of Alquízar, province of Artemisa, at the age of 56 years, informs the sports site JIT.
Hernández was champion of the 67-kilogram division during the Central American Games and the Caribbean celebrations in La Habana, in 1982, and represented the Cuban selection of Boxeo in multiple international tournaments and World Cups.
“We will definitely have a Cuban tried, more than his balances as an exponent of our boxing, as he sings with passion and entrance”, wrote on Twitter the president of the INDER, Osvaldo Vento Montiller.

When he retired, in 1990, Hernández continued to work as a pediatrician as a physiotherapist and trainer in the Cuban preselection.
