A short video of Badruddin Ajmal going viral on social media in which the head of the All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) allegedly says that they will turn India into an Islamic nation and no Hindus will be left behind here when they come to power. AIUDF is part of the Congress-led UPA alliance for the upcoming election in Assam.
Various Twitter and Facebook users posted the 36-second recording where Ajmal is heard saying in Bengali: ‘The Mughals have ruled this country for 800 years. This country will become an Islamic state. Inshallah, UPA and our great alliance will one day rule and then your party AIUDF, the lock and key symbol, will have a share in it, not a single Hindu would have lived in India but everyone would have converted to Muslim ”

If they wanted to, they could have converted every Hindu in India. Ajmal has also made controversial statements in the past.

What did Ajmal say?
We found that the 36-second viral cut had several cuts between Ajmal’s speech. Using InVID and reverse image search, we found the longer version of the speech on YouTube. A YouTube channel called ‘SANIDUL VLOGS’ posted a 21-minute video of Ajmal’s speech on April 17, 2019. The title says that it was Ajmal’s speech at Barpeta during the Lok Sabha election campaign.
At 5.45 minutes after the speech, Ajmal talks about the Mughal regime in India. In this unpolished version of the speech it is heard: “You know Mughals ruled India for 800 years, but never thought of making this country an Islamic nation. If they would think so in 800 years, not a single Hindu would be here. “did not live; everyone would have been converted. Did this happen? The British ruled for 200 years and they also never dared to make India a Christian country.”
Ajmal was actually in his speech on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the powerful Minister of Assam, Himanta Biswa Sarma. In the video, he further says that since independence, Congress leaders have never sought to make India a Hindu country. He then asked Prime Minister Modi not to have that ‘dream’ either.
To call the vial ‘doctor’, AIUDF acted against the offenders.
Ajmal, however, gave several controversial statements In the past. During the 2014 Lok Sabha election, he said that Allah would not forgive him if he or his candidates facilitated a BJP victory. He responded to media questions from Congress.
However, the viral video in which he believes that Hindus will be wiped out if they come to power in Assam is changed.
