India Today Anti Fake News War Room (AFWA) found the allegation to be false with the photo. This is a screenshot of a video that Khan posted on social media, where he gave tutorials on basic mechanisms of a tractor. On January 26, Khan was in Jaipur at a Republic Day program. He has not visited Delhi in the past month.
AFWA investigation
Using a combination of InVID and reverse image search, AFWA found that the photo spread on social media was actually a screenshot of a video that Khan posted on his photo. Twitter handle and YouTube channel.
The video in which he gave tutorials on the basic mechanism of a tractor was posted on the morning of January 26 by Khan. The background of the video indicates that it was shot in a village. No other tractor could be seen in the background.
To further confirm the incident, we contacted Khan directly. The pediatrician said he was currently in Jaipur and had not visited Delhi in the past month. “The video was shot in Langareeyawas in Jaipur district,” he said.
According to Khan, the video was shot on January 25, a day before the tractor pulled up. And on January 26, he was at the Shaheen Institution in Jhotwara in Jaipur and hoisted the Tricolor. In fact, he tweeted again two videos on his Twitter handle on January 26, where he saw him observe Republic Day.
AFWA then contacted Shoyeb Khan, the principal of Shaheen Institution, who admitted that Khan was at his school on January 26th. Therefore, it is proved that Khan on Republic Day was not part of the tractor march in Delhi.
