Social media users shared online content claiming that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, the chief of staff, is the CEO of Dominion Voting Systems. This statement is false.
Examples can be seen here, here and here.
One report here reads: “Everyone is making this screenshot go viral. Maybe we can save California. Developing: Pelosi’s Chief of Staff is also CEO of Dominion Ballot Counting Systems. ”
The photo used in the posts was posted here on Pelosi’s Flickr account. It was taken on May 7, 2013.
The description of the photo reads: “Congressman Pelosi joins Chancellor Susan Desmond-Hellmann, UC San Francisco, and Senator Dianne Feinstein, discussing federal investments in basic scientific research and the new precision medicine initiative.”
Dominion Voting Systems explains on its website that the CEO is John Poulos, who is also one of the founders of the company.
Photos of Poulos can be seen here and here. He does not look like the two women seen with Pelosi in the photo.
Terri McCullough was appointed chief of staff of Pelosi here in March 2019. Photos of McCullough can be seen here and here.
Pelosi spokesman Drew Hammill confirmed in an email to Reuters that the claim was false.
VERDICT
Untrue. Speaker Pelosi’s chief of staff is not the CEO of Dominion Voting Systems either.
