The footage shared hundreds of times on social media shows a man lying on the ground as he is being cared for by health workers.

“Young man dies immediately after receiving second dose of Covid vaccine”, is the caption on one of the posts sharing the video (here).

Clalit, Israel’s largest healthcare provider, told Reuters in a statement that the video was filmed in a vaccination center in the Israeli city of Rishon LeZion.

“What the video spreads on social media: Clalit wants to explain that it’s from a young man who arrived at a (vaccination) center in Rishon LeZion to be vaccinated and did not feel well,” Clalit press release said that was first issued when the video started circulating in early February.

‘As the video shows, the young man was immediately treated by the trained medical team on site, evacuated by MADA (what is MADA?) To the emergency room and was released to his home shortly afterwards. We will make it clear that it was not an allergy to the vaccine. ”

According to local media reports, the man’s wife said he fainted because he was ‘scared’, but that he recovered quickly and then ‘felt good’ (here, here).

Anxiety caused by the procedure can make people faint after vaccination, says the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) (here).

To date, approximately 44% of the 9.1 million inhabitants of Israel have received at least one survey of the Pfizer vaccine (here).

The claim that the Pfizer / BioNTech vaccine caused fatal reactions among recipients in Israel was rejected by Reuters (here).
