The original photo was posted on Twitter on December 30, 2018 by Thunberg here and shows her alongside former Vice President Al Gore.
The tweet reads: “Thank you @algore for being a true pioneer. Very few people did more. It was an honor to meet you. #climate crisis #climate breakdown ”
Soros is a billionaire philanthropist and founder of Open Society Foundations. He was the target of multiple conspiracy theories and misinformation on social media (here).
