After international pop artist Rihanna and environmental activist Greta Thunberg, former film star Mia Khalifa, also tweeted in support of the ongoing peasant agitation against Center’s three farm laws in India.

India Today Anti Fake News War Room (AFWA) has found that the viral image is changing. The original image dates from 2007 and supporters of the Indian Youth Congress celebrate the birthday of the leader of the Congress, Rahul Gandhi.

AFWA investigation
Using reverse image search, we found the original version of the image on the stock image website Getty Images. In this image can be seen the men presenting cake to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi.
According to the information provided by Getty Images, supporters of the Indian Youth Congress are showing Gandhi’s 37th birthday. The image was taken on June 19, 2007 in front of the residence of Congress Party President Sonia Gandhi in New Delhi.
The original image was also by a Times of India news release with credits to AFP on June 19, 2007. The title of the report reads: “Rahul Gandhi turns 37 today.”
It is therefore clear that the image of congressmen carrying Mia Khalifa’s cake has changed its version and is more than a decade old.
