FACME has a claim to gender equality in Medicine

On the occasion of the International Day of the Woman, which commemorates this month, March 8, the Federation of Spanish Medical Associations (FACME) has carried out an award “for gender equality in the development of professional careers” offers its “total availability to the Administrations to collaborate on direct strategies to log this objective”.

In this sense, the citation organization announces one week the implementation of an analysis “to know exactly the data on the impact of gender in Medicine”, given the understanding of this entity by the breach of gender that is observed in brief sectors in which the representativeness of women is insufficient and disrespectful of the percentage of women held in the corresponding disciplines, and which are also palpable in Medicine: less percentage of women in responsibilities and minor development of the professional career.

FACME showcase its preoccupation with “the potential impact of the pandemic in the development of the professional career, alerted to studies that it advertised academic product design, including a range of domestic tariffs during the training phase.
