Face mask order lifted in Bonneville County, but public health officials still call for caution

The following is a news release from the Eastern Idaho District for public health.

IDAHO FALL – As of Monday, February 8, the Restriction Order on the Compulsory Wear of Face Coatings in Bonneville County has been revoked. In addition, Madison County was lowered from the high risk (red) level to the moderate risk (yellow) level. The order of restriction for the mandatory wearing of face masks still applies to Madison and Teton County.

Even with the lifting of the Bonneville County Order and vaccinations in the health district, we are still not out of the woods about the spread of the virus that causes COVID-19. We strongly encourage you to get vaccinated when it’s your turn, stay home when you are sick, wash your hands regularly, maintain space (at least six feet) between people, and if you are unable to distance yourself. not to wear a mask correctly and consistently. Please take personal responsibility for your health and make the best choices for yourself and your community.

There is still time to register on our COVID-19 vaccination appointment list. We will randomly assign the available vaccination appointments to all individuals registered on the list BEFORE Thursday 11 February at 08:00. Over the next ten days, appointments will be assigned to individuals and we will call or text them to notify them. of their appointment, which could run from February 15 to the end of March. To give us the time to do all these notices, we ask that you do NOT call our office before February 22 to investigate your appointment. Thank you for your patience with this process.

If you register on the waiting list after 11 February at 08:00, you can expect a call or sms from EIPH between 22 and 26 February to inform you of your appointment.
