Excuse me. Have you seen 20 million doses of COVID vaccine?

The article on PoliticoThe website’s headline is: ” It’s a mess’: Biden’s first ten days are dominated by vaccine secrets. “Everyone now likes a mystery. I’m partly on The Hardy Boys and Sherlock Holmes, myself. But the apostates working in the White House cannot solve the mystery with the missing 20 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine sent to countries but which have not been recognized so far.

It is the president who will bring power back to the White House. Instead, his people created a cluster of large dimensions.

Politico:

After a week at work, Biden’s team is still trying to track down more than 20 million doses of vaccine sent to states – a mystery that has hampered plans to speed up the national vaccination effort. They are looking for new ways to increase the production of a vaccine stock they have discovered mostly empty. And they are looking nervously at a series of new Covid-19 strains that threaten to derail the reaction.

“This is the quote from Mike Tyson: ‘Everyone has a plan until they are punched in the mouth,'” said one person with knowledge of the vaccine attempt who was not authorized to discuss the work. “They are capable. It’s just the weight of everything if you sit in that chair. It’s heavy.”

Maybe the job is a little harder than it looked from the campaign. This is especially the case when dealing with government bureaucrats. They do not care who the president is, as long as they retain their power and authority. It creates a complicated mess when eager beavers in the new government want to start implementing all their grand plans while the entrenched bureaucrats are in Washington time.

Only a small percentage of those who do not contain doses – about two million, two officials said – are due to the backlog in reporting, the Biden team believes. This would mean keeping the rest of the important supply in warehouses, sitting idle in freezers or floating elsewhere in the complex distribution pipeline that stretches from government to individual states.

This is a dilemma that preceded the Biden team’s arrival, and Biden hammered the first week’s explosion of the vaccine under the Trump administration as a ‘gloomy failure’.

Yet the response team initially underestimated how difficult it would be to rectify.

Any plan initiated by one of the presidents would have been plagued by organizational problems, bureaucratic red tape, incompetence and waste of time. In this case, you have 100 million doses of the vaccine transferred by the federal bureaucracy to 50 state bureaucracies.

What can go wrong?

The Biden administration has since warned that stocks will be limited until the summer, which increases the possibility of continued shortages, even as the country’s daily vaccination rate increases.

The White House on Friday hailed promising data on a new single-dose vaccine from Johnson & Johnson. But production barriers dampened expectations for its immediate impact, with one federal official comparing the expected early flow of shots to a “drop.”

How long Biden Trump will be able to blame for the mess is unclear. The media will try to speak for him, but the bottom line is that the Biden plan to deal with the pandemic fell apart as soon as it reached reality. This probably means it will be until the fall before we can really get back to normal.
