Exclusive: first details on the new Galaxy Z Fold and Galaxy Z Flip

With the launch of the Galaxy S21, Samsung fans can now look forward to the company’s next foldable devices. This is due to the launch of at least two new foldable pieces, the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and the Galaxy Z Flip 2, assuming this is what the company decides to name them.

We have now received the first details about these upcoming devices. It’s still unclear if the rumored “Lite” version of the Galaxy Z Fold is also due. There is no evidence for its existence at this time.

Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 2 are available this year

Samsung’s next Galaxy Z Fold device contains the model number SM-F926. It will be available with at least 256 GB of storage. The foldable device will use Android 11 and is provided with One UI 3.5.

The company’s next clamshell foldable smartphone will have the model number SM-F711. It will be available with storage options of 128 GB and 256 GB. Android 11 and One UI 3.5 will also be available.

The presence of One UI 3.5 indicates that we can only see these devices in the second half of this year. Samsung has just released a UI 3.1 with the Galaxy S21 series and it still can’t drop to compatible devices. One UI 3.5 definitely offers some new software features.

Over the past few years, Samsung has launched its second version of One UI for the year with the Galaxy Note series. With the future of the Galaxy Note series still in the air, the foldable concepts are understandably the most suitable devices to launch a new One UI version with.

We will continue to keep our ears on the ground and give you information on the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 2 as soon as we hear more.
