Fantastic uses a standard JRPG turn-based combat system, with random encounters.

Fantastic has a combat system similar to oldschool Final fantasy, compared to action-oriented as in Final Fantasy VII Remake. However, there is no ATB and it is 100% turn based. Players can, however, activate the Dimengeon, capturing enemies they normally encounter, and sending them into another dimension. Then players can enter the Dimengeon at any time and fight all enemies captured so far at the same time.

Hironobu Sakaguchi explained that he got the idea for the Dimengeon system as a result of Fantastic‘s touch controls.

Imagine touching a chest on the map with your finger so that the protagonist starts moving towards it. A random encounter causes, however. Once the fight is over, the protagonist will be immobile again, and you will need to touch your chest again. The Dimengeon system prevents situations like this.

You can initially occupy up to 30 enemies in Dimengeon. They will appear in successive waves if there are too many. There is also a special gimmick to make the fights easier. Players can upgrade the Dimengeon limit beyond 30 enemies.

The combat system has a target system similar to Chrono Trigger to take a mainstream example. In addition, certain skills attack in a straight line, while some have a curved path. You can aim the skill to hit as many enemies as possible.

How long will it take to beat Fantastic?

According to what has been launched, it will take players between 20 and 60 hours to complete Fantastic. It will depend on whether they focus on the main story or not.

Further, Fantastic will be divided into two parts. similar to Final Fantasy 6. The first part will be simple. Meanwhile, the second part will include quite a few queries. You know what I’m talking about when you played VF6.
