Everything Spencer Rattler said after winning the Oklahoma Cotton Bowl

Nr. 6 Oklahoma won Wednesday night after a Cotton Bowl victory over No. 7 in Florida. It was the highlight of a comeback for the Sooners, who were 1-2 after three weeks on the season.

The first quarter of a 55-20 victory was all that was needed to set the Sooners’ tone on Wednesday night. It took just five plays to get the game’s first offense and only two defensive games to catch the Florida flyhalf Kyle Trask and return it for a score. Similarly, it was 14-0 in the opening minutes of the match and the first shot was delivered.

The Gators fought back and came within four points in the second quarter, but the Sooners quickly fell back with two more knockout positions to take a 31-13 lead at halftime. From there, it was easy to apply to Oklahoma as it won its eighth consecutive game of the year and took home the Cotton Bowl Trophy.

Back player Spencer Rattler continued his hot streak and buzzed his preseason Heisman, though he is not a finalist this year. He finished 22 of 34 who passed 272 yards, one touch and a quick blow in the bladder. That gives him at least an edge in next season where Oklahoma will once again be the top 12 favorites and a College Football Playoff contender.
