COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) – The Department of Public Health and the Environment in Colorado has sent a message to patients who received a COVID-19 vaccine shot from Dr. Moma Health and Wellness Clinic and said they should be vaccinated again.
The CDHPE has dr. Moma Health and Wellness Clinic investigates after the Joint Vaccine Task Force was notified of irregularities in the storage and handling of vaccines.
On Friday, the CDPHE seized 3,150 doses and discarded 150 doses.
At the time of the study, the clinic had administered 3,933 vaccines.
In an email obtained by 13 Investigations reporter Lauren Barnas, the CDPHE conducted a study that determined that all patients who received a single COVID-19 vaccine at the vaccination clinic should be revaccinated.
All shots of the Pfizer and Moderna vaccine are considered invalid.
The CDPHE recommends the following:
- Those who received one dose of the Pfizer vaccine should receive two additional doses according to the time frames below:
- Additional dose of Pfizer 21 days after your initial invalid dose of Pfizer from Dr. Moma received
- Final dose of Pfizer 21 days after the dose
- Those who have received one dose of Moderna vaccine should receive two additional doses according to the time frames below:
- Additional dose of Moderna 28 days after your initial invalid dose of Moderna. Moma received
- Final dose Moderna 28 days after dose
For anyone who is not sure which vaccine they have received in the clinic, they are advised to receive two additional doses of the Moderna or Pfizer vaccine according to the time frames below:
- Additional dose of Moderna or Pfizer 28 days after the first invalid dose of mRNA from Dr. Moma received it
- Final dose of Moderna or Pfizer 28 days after that dose
