I know many of you use Google Chrome. Despite its flaws – I’m talking about how it devours RAM – it’s a good browser with an excellent ecosystem of extensions.
And it’s pretty safe.
But you can make your contribution to make it safer.
As on the Safety test button.
Must read: I wish I had bought this $ 10 magnifying glass years ago
So, where is the Safety test button? The easiest way to find it is to type it into your address bar and press Enter:
chrome: // settings / security Check
Alternatively, you can enter Institutions and click on Safety test on the left.

Google Chrome Security Check
The Safety test button is there. Clicking on it does four things:
- Check for Google Chrome updates
- Check that any of your saved passwords have been compromised
- Check that Safe Browsing is enabled, and provide a link to adjust these settings
- Checking for harmful extensions (not a bad idea, given the latest debacle with The Great Suspender)
Run Google Chrome Security Check
If you want more protection, you can enable it Improve protection under Safe Browsing, and it will provide you with much greater security, but it does involve sending your browsing data to Google.
Execution of a Safety test is fast, and gives you extra thoughts.
Do it now.
