Every change from Rainbow Six Siege Crimson Heist and year 6 is explained

Year 6 is the first full year of Rainbow Six Siege’s revamped annual content plan, and as advertised, it’s full of quality of life and core details. There are four new operators, some map revisions and many events promised in the official roadmap – just enough new toys to keep things fresh from season to season – but what’s missing is Ubisoft’s plan to change the way each round fundamentally changes. plays off.

During year 6, Ubisoft revealed its intention to reduce the downtime in Rainbow Six Siege matches by doing more for the attackers during the preparation phase, and eliminating eliminated players directly to the outcome of a round. In addition, year 6 will be working for Mira, Maestro and Goyo, health and armor will be more transparent and the game will generally rebalance so that attacks feel just as viable as defending.

Join us as we unveil every announcement from the Crimson Heist and Year 6.

We start by following the major changes with the release date of Operation Crimson Heist, from Flores to the Gonne-6 secondary, and then move on to the year 6 roadmap and some of the game changes that Ubisoft is boiling up.

Flores uses his device in Rainbow Six Siege

Flores

Year 6’s first season, Operation Crimson Heist, introduces Argentine attacker Flores, a medium-speed attacker with four special drones full of explosives. Flores gets ten seconds to steer each RCE Ratero drone into position. After that, the drone anchors in place, becomes bulletproof and explodes after a few more seconds. Each blast appears to have a blast radius similar to that of a nitrocell, but defenders receive many warnings to evacuate the area thanks to an audible siren that sounds when the drone anchors.

Flores can manually activate the anchoring phase of each drone at any time during the countdown, and if you activate this means air, the drone will anchor the next surface it touches. This allows you to ‘boil’ the drone a bit if you drop it from a height, giving defenders less time to react. Ultimately, the drones are more useful for opening shutters and destroying devices such as shields and Maestro cams than for killing enemies.

Flores can choose the AR33 or SR-25 as his primary weapons, but can only bring the GSh-18 as his weapon. Ultimately, his choice of secondary items is between shock grenades and clay maker.

Boundary reprocessing

Flores comes up with a remake of the popular card Border, which was recently removed from competitive gaming because it has become obsolete. The redesign is similar to the rebuilding of the clubhouse and maintains the identity of the card, its main sites and flow.

So what’s new? Bathroom and counters are now an achievable goal with an extensive bathroom and less space for vertical play. Waiting Room now has an indoor balcony that connects Break Room with East Traps. Archive has been opened, making it much easier to defend against a North balcony and vehicle capture. There are many more minor revisions, but it’s also worth noting that the map is now much neater with less debris and clutter that has obscuration of sight lines – hopefully that means you do not want to die from bizarre pixel looks.

Gonne-6 and match replay

Y6S1 also adds a new secondary weapon for attackers, called the Gonne-6, which is a single-shot weapon that can destroy defenses, and the expected versioning system for PC players. Ubisoft says it is not yet available for console players as it is still in beta.

The official road map of Rainbow Six Siege Year 6

Year 6 operators and maps

Although much less is known about the rest of Year 6, we do know that the second season’s operator comes from Nakoda, a native of the Great Plains. This operator is accompanied by an accidental Favela rework. In the third season we get a Croatian operator and three smaller card lovers instead of a large-scale remake. Finally, Siege gets an Irish operator in the fourth season, as well as a remake of Outback.

Operator reworked

There are also promises to rebuild operators, all focusing on utilities based on utilities. Goyo loses his exploding shields. It will be replaced by a similar explosive device that can be mounted on the floor or against walls like Jäger’s ADS. As with the previous design, it also has a metal casing that protects them around 270 degrees.

Mira and Maestro both get adjustments that affect their ability to provide intel. The plan is that attackers who can master these devices will break the glass and obscure the vision for the defenders – Mira and Maestro will then be forced to open their respective devices to make them usable again or to forfeit the utility. . Melusi’s apparatus is also inherited. Activating a Banshee will open it and you can shoot and destroy it.

Little details have been provided, but the panel also mentions rework for Fuze and Finka. Fuze’s device will be more useful and Finka will be able to revive itself with a Nanoboost.

Bulletproof comb processing

Bulletproof cams will now turn full and have an EMP arrow that they can fire to eliminate the attacker’s devices and drones. An early version must be available on the Y6S2 test server.

Attack repeat system in action in Rainbow Six Siege

Reduce downtime

One of the key goals for Year 6 is to reduce downtime, and Ubisoft aims to achieve this through two changes. The first, called ‘attacker repeat’, will allow anyone in the attacking team to switch off their operator during the preparation phase and respond to the defensive team’s setup.

The second, called ‘activities after death’, allows players to use any remote-controlled tool after being eliminated. It’s not clear if there are any restrictions, but the basic idea is that a dead defender like Castle can jump on Maestro’s camera and taunt an attacker. For an attacker, this would mean driving your own drone on the map if you were eliminated and had another extra drone.

Armor and health

To promote transparency, the armor is also slightly adjusted so that you can clearly see how much extra health your armor offers you. A one-armor operator still has 100 health, but a two-armor has 120 health and a three-armor has 140 health. It does not change the amount of shots you can take, but it does make the difference between low and high armor more transparent for players.

Rainbow Six Siege's reputation system and levels

Reputation system

The last major update is the complete arrival of the player behavior system that has been working in the background for several months, albeit in a limited capacity. Ubisoft does not give details about the actions that affect your position, but there are five levels to the reputation system and players can move the levels up and down based on their actions. At level 0, there will be messages and warnings about the player’s actions, and there may be consequences if you are unable to stand in line for matches on the rankings. On the positive side of the scale, at levels 3 and 4, there will be rewards for players, though we do not know what those rewards will be.

Streamer mode and menu refresh

A streamer mode arrives on the test server in Y6S1. This mode hides the player’s region, name, clearance level, profile photo and other players in their lobby. This mode also adds a delay to make a match to prevent the rope from cutting.

The user interface and presentation of Rainbow Six Siege is also being revamped, which promises to make the menus navigate faster and simpler. Matchmaking, ranking and the rookie experience also appeared during the panel, but Ubisoft did not provide any real details on how it intends to change these parts of Siege.

Slagpas

Year 6 also completes the year pass, and folds the new operator of each season into the seasonal battle pass at no extra cost. There is a strange catch: the exclusive window for access to new operators is expanding, so if you do not buy the new battle pass, you will have to wait two weeks before you can buy the operator with R6 credits or Renown. .

Ikumi Nakamura se Dokkaebi-vel

Sheets and crossovers

Lastly, there are a lot of changes to the way skins work in the game. Elite Skins will soon include some tweaks so you can blend pieces of Elite Skin with other skins you like, including the MVP animation and a gadget skin. Some new skins will also appear in Year 6, including a Zofia skin inspired by Resident Evil’s Jill Valentine and which looks like it’s a Rick & Morty collaboration. A new Elite Skin for Kali also comes with Y6S1. Finally, Queen of E3 2019 Ikumi Nakamura is working on cosmetics for year 6, which is unexpected but very cool.

Occupy board game ???

Ubisoft sneaked it in at the end, but yes, there’s a Rainbow Six Siege board game from Mythic Games, and it’s this summer.
