Ethan Hawke plays villain opposite Oscar Isaac in Marvel’s ‘Moon Knight’ (Exclusive)

Hawke will play the series’ main villain.

Isaac is leading the series with one of Marvel’s cult characters and that is the pursuit of a production launch in March in Budapest.

May Calamawy, who is perhaps best known for her work in Hulu’s Ramy, is already the order of the day.

Moon Knight has had several incarnations over the decades since his debut in 1975, from an ex-Marine mercenary with multiple alter egos to a tube for the Egyptian moon god Khonshu, to recently a bravely dressed consultant. . One aspect of the stories in the modern comic book era is tackling the mental illness of various personalities.

It is unclear who Hawke would play. Moon Knight’s arch-nose is considered a villain named Bushman, a fellow mercenary who turned on the hero when Egyptian gold came into the picture.

Mohamed Diab, the Egyptian helmet behind Middle Eastern drama Collision, and Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead, indie genre film crews who play behind science fiction films The endless and Synchronies, leads the program.

Hawke’s career began in the mid-1980s with a teenage sci-fi movie Explorers but in his 35s he avoided the comic book genre. However, he starred in genre works, which helped start horror franchises Sinister and The purification.

His extensive work has twice nominated him for an Acting Oscar – for 2002s Practice day and 2015’s Boy – and twice for writing – for 2005s Before sunrise and 2014’s Before midnight.

He recently wrapped up The Northman, a Viking revenge saga by Roberg Eggers starring Anya-Taylor-Joy, and which has strong notice for The Good Lord Bird, a historical drama in which he created and acted.
