Essential Now owned by nothing

Nothing, also known as Nothing Technologies, is now the owner of Essential, the once sweet phone business that could have been something very special if it were not for a huge amount of misconduct regarding founder Andy Rubin. With all of this behind and Essential has actually done nothing over the past few years, OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei has acquired all the rights to Essential’s entire range of intellectual property, including logos, trademarks and patents.

There’s still no word on why this happened, but the idea is that Nothing wanted Essential’s patent portfolio, according to the home of a few things regarding digital voice assistance. We’re not sure yet how it plays out in Nothing’s headphones, and it may not be at all, but we’ll have to be patient to see what comes of this.

We are very curious how much this purchase costs nothing. It could not have been too much, right?
