Epic just makes streaming Fortnite easier than ever with a new Houseparty integration

Epic is further working on a new mix of its various platforms Fortnite integration for its social video program Houseparty with which you can stream your game to friends. The integration builds on an existing one that uses Houseparty’s video chat features to import live video chat Fortnite, and now it does essentially the opposite.

This way, your friends can see that you are living through your cell phone camera and also through the feeding of your active Fortnite games. Think of it a bit like Twitch streaming without all the fuss and just for your friends instead of the wider audience. Epic says the feature currently supports streaming from a PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 or PC. “We will notify everyone if we can support more platforms in the future,” Epic said in his blog post.

Epic is the owner of Houseparty, which streamlines a fast and easy group video chat after an acquisition in 2019, and the game maker used the app to promote the social features of its various gaming platforms. A few months after the acquisition, Epic started using Houseparty for improvement Fortnite platform audio chats, and now a complete bridge exists between the game and the app.
