Have you ever wondered what it would be like if Princess Diana were engaged in a gay love triangle with a member of One Direction. Well, soon you might see the next best thing as Emma Corrin will play opposite Harry Styles in the Amazon Studios movie. My Policeman. Per DeadlineEmma Corrin, nominated for her Golden Globe and SAG Awards for her portrayal of the People’s Princess in The crown, signed the adaptation of the eponymous romantic drama by Bethan Roberts. Directed by Tony and the Olivier Award winner Michael Grandage, with an adapted screenplay by Oscar-nominated Ron Nyswaner, My Policeman follows the “elderly invalid” Patrick who arrives at the home of the heterosexual couple Marion and Tom, leading to a ‘passionate relationship’ between Tom and Patrick at a time when homosexuality was strictly forbidden. Corrin and Styles play the central married couple Tom and Marion. When Styles signed up for the project in September, Rebecca star Lily James was associated with the project, but now the role belongs to Corrin. There’s no word yet on who will portray the ‘elderly invalid’, but it will be a fun cast around Corrin’s The crown co-star Tobias Menzes enters the action. If Prince Phillip does not qualify as an “elderly invalid,” I simply do not know who does.
