Emilia Clarke is in final negotiations to take part in Marvel Studios’ “Secret Invasion”, the hot original series that quickly gathers at Disney Plus.
The lead role of the ‘Game of Thrones’ role naturally comes under scrutiny and is her first foray into the Marvel universe. She joins previously reported persons, Samuel L. Jackson, Ben Mendelsohn, Kingsley Ben-Adir and Olivia Colman.
Marvel Studios declined to comment. Reps to Clarke did not immediately comment on the matter.
“Secret Invasion” was announced last year as a development property, one of Marvel’s many planned titles for Disney Plus. Jackson is working on his MCU role of Nick Fury, while Mendelsohn will play the Skrull Talos as in the feature film “Captain Marvel”. ‘
The series is said to follow a group of aliens with deformation who have been penetrating the earth for years. Ben-Adir was considered the most important villain. Kyle Bradstreet is associated with writing and executive products. Kevin Feige’s unit produces the series for the streamer, as do all other MCU titles, including the hits “WandaVision” and “Falcon and the Winter Soldier”.
Clarke is a four-time Emmy nominee for her rendition of Daenerys Targaryen on HBO’s worldwide “Game of Thrones,” which just celebrated the 10th anniversary of its premiere. She is also a multiple nominee for the Critics Choice Award and was the 2018 recipient of the BAFTA Britannia Award for British Artist of the Year. Clarke is a member of AMPAS and has also been named as one of Time’s 100 Most Influential People. Her film credits include the holiday films ‘Last Christmas’, ‘Me Before You’, ‘Terminator Genisys’ and ‘Solo: A Star Wars Story’. She will play a role in the upcoming animated film ‘The Amazing Maurice’.
