CEO Eles Musk says Tesla is expanding the beta version “Full Self-Driving” (FSD), doubling the size with a new software update and eventually increasing the number of participants tenfold.

Tesla first introduced the FSD beta to vehicle owners in October in its early access program. At the time, Musk said the company was handling the software update “very carefully”. Drivers are still expected to keep their hands on the steering wheel and must be prepared to take control of their Tesla at any time. Tesla uses the data from the FSB beta to improve performance, and according to Electrek. Musk said last month there were about 1,000 vehicles in the beta.
