Tesla CEO Elon Musk said Wednesday he bought Dogecoin, a trending cryptocurrency, for his baby “so he can be a toddler.”

Musk was a proponent of the cryptocurrency, which was created as a joke in 2013 based on a popular internet meme, but in recent days after the virtual currency no. 10 has risen, according to data from CoinMarketCap.com.
