The ‘Umbrella Academy’ star was married in 2018 to Portner, a dancer and choreographer.
Elliot Page and wife Emma Portner have decided to end their marriage, The Hollywood Reporter confirmed it.
“After much deliberation and careful consideration, we made the difficult decision to divorce after our divorce last summer,” the couple wrote in a statement. “We have the utmost respect for each other and remain close friends.”
The Oscar nominee Juno star married Portner, a dancer and choreographer, in early 2018. On January 3 of that year, Page said on Instagram, “Can’t believe I can call this extraordinary woman my wife,” along with a photo of the couple’s hands with engagement rings, and a black-and-white picture of the few who embrace.
In December 2020, Page emerged as transgender and non-binary, expressing at the time, “I can not begin to express how remarkable it feels to finally love who I am enough to pursue my authentic self.”
Over the years, Page has shared several other photos on Instagram from his marriage to Portner, especially for date nights and on Pride.
Page continues his role as Vanya Hargreeves in Netflix’s action comedy The Umbrella Academy.
