“I’m excited to be a mom.”
Ellie Goulding is lucky! The ‘Love Me Like You Do’ singer has revealed that she is expecting her first child with her husband, Caspar Jopling.
“I’m excited to be a mom – but I also want to make sure I keep working,” she told Vogue. “I can not wait to go on tour again. I was in the studio most days, [and] I’m excited for the challenge. It will be a whole new experience. ‘
Goulding has been together for 30 weeks and she found out she was pregnant during a getaway she took during her one-year wedding anniversary.
“It was crazy,” Goulding recalls. That was not the plan. The thought of getting pregnant did not seem like it could be a reality. ‘
However, she said her pregnancy made her feel more “human” and “feminine” than ever before.
‘I have curves I’ve never had before. I enjoy it, ”she said. “My husband enjoys it.”
The “Hate Me” singer also deals with the challenges of pregnancy. “The illness and fatigue was nothing I had ever experienced,” she said. “I feel it’s taboo to talk about pregnancy as a challenge.”
“It’s not always quiet, and as if you’re not always glowing,” Goulding continued. ‘I’m not saying that every second of this pregnancy was miserable. It’s not always going to be easy. [But,] I have a new respect for any woman who has children. ‘
Even though she does not feel very glowing, Goulding still looks as beautiful as ever!
